[Tuesday, March 2, 2010 . First order of business...]

No sermon guys, don't picnic.

Luke here again, and here's to hoping that someone else will put up a post or two next time because WHEW, this takes longer than I expected. Fortunately, yours truly still has holidays (yeah I'm such as awful friend for rubbing it in, heheh). ;)

Anyway, I'm just going to lay down some order of business: to discuss and stuff. It's really imperative that we use this blog as a means of communication since most, if not all of us are generally online often.

Firstly: the objective of this Alternative CG. I'm not sure what everyone thinks the objective of this thing should be. I know that it's a good outlet for us to share and be a bit more personal and things-in other words-true sharing, but we need to remember why we're sharing.

For me as a person, the objective of this thing is really so that we can achieve that kind of thing CG leaders want where people are all really upclose and personal and hence praying for them and their situations is better and things, and trust and all that-okay it's really difficult to convey the general idea of what I'm talking about, but the gist is that:
1. Have CG time outside of CG.
2. More fellowship based.
3. Pray and help in whatever way possible, etc etc.
4. Closer emotional bonds=focus on God as we begin to rely on him more together.
5. Deeper spiritual impact that can be spread throughout church eventually.

Make sense? So I really hope that this can be achieved I guess. If you guys have any other objectives you all want to accomplish in this CG, do write down something or leave a comment.

And please pray that we don't turn into some exclusive clique with no real purpose for sharing other than disliking our current CG. I've been struggling with the possibility of it happening for some time now. If we do this wrong, it will very likely end up like that. =/

2. I really need a name for our CG. Really. Just throw out anything: it's really irritating to keep calling it Alternate CG all the time. 0_O So weird. So do write down something or leave a comment.

3. We need our first meeting. I really plan to make it just a relaxed thing. Sit down, grab lunch, talk about stuff and then go home. If anyone wants to stay back and talk somemore than originally intended, that would be fine. Anything that anyone could use help with, also fine. At any rate, if I'm not wrong we have Open Sunday and well, I'm not going (I'm really not a big fan of these things-maybe that's a bad mindset to have, sigh.) so it would be good if we could meet for lunch this Sat around 1? Tell me what you all think.

Actually, Luke and I share one MAJOR thing in common - we are having holidays now!!! And I think they end sometime april. but who knows? Its such a LONG time...

OK. Back to business. I really hope we get off on the right foot about this. Like in sailing, how you start is 75% of the race already, how you continue is 25%. This phase of our secret operation is CRITICAL for our sakes.

Have you noticed I like to give analogies? It's sort of like this...just kidding. As we get to know each other better, (more than just favorite colors, birthdays, and where we live - my fav is red, 23 march, I live next to the field where they play touch!!) we need to learn how each other functions. We need to know this if we want to bring this thing anywhere. We are some sort of a team now.

I want to add in something for our mini-checklist. 6) Learn to respect each other and Learn to listen to each other - We don't do either very often..

About the name, who said anything about alternate CG? I thought it was BLEEEPS? Or something like that?

About the meeting, I really don't mind missing NATIONAL YOUTH TRAINING to meet up. I don't like them much anyways. All of them are stuck-up and over-zealous of their abilities.

Ok i'm up for sat 1pm. Anyway, i was thinking that we would go to some spot after lunch that has more atmosphere rather than some random fast food hang out. Yeah. Quiet spot. Can open up more. :)

After reading it again, I don't even think we should call the BLOG "inner circle". It seems like we are excluding the rest of the CG and as Luke's friend put it, "the idea that we're some exclusive country club and nobody else is invited". I don't really like how that sounds and I don't think all of you would like it too. another thing we can call it in stead of "ALTERNATIVE CG", how about "ADDITIONAL CG" because this is what we are going to do,right? Post things on the blog to help each other grow spiritually and also in other aspects of our lives.

Also, I think we should find a regular time slot to meet. And we also need to find a suitable place to meet if we are going to share or do stuff like that.

I miss the 80's. Wait, I wasn't born yet...
