Hey guys!
It's been a while! Whew. Anyway, I didn't show up for CG yesterday because I was away at SM (Spiritual multiplier) camp!
So here's what I really want to talk about.
Lately we've all been busy with a great many commitments and things and I think that most of them have been generally productive (so yay us) but I really hope that we can focus some time on God.
I'm really glad to hear that most of us are really busy with school work because ultimately as Christian students, we glorify God with our studies. Yet at the same time, I really hope that God is at the center of our reason to study...our reason to do anything, in fact-as our lives are his.
Up till recently while I accepted that accepting Christ as our Lord and Saviour meant giving up our lives to him and dying to ourselves, it was really irritating to have to put God in the picture as opposed to do everything for myself. To some extent, I even resented it. I liked-still like to some degree-doing things for my own purposes. But I really want to acknowledge the power of God in your life can make so much difference to the things that we do everyday...and to really glorify him not only with our studies, but with the time we spend with him as well, be it in church or at home.
If any of you are really having difficulty managing your time with work and all that, I encourage you to just stop for a couple of minutes. Just forget everything and take the time to pray about it before continuing. I believe it will really make a lot of difference. His grace is sufficient for you.
I have some prayer requests:
1. Pray that as I grow spiritually I will be able to let go of the things I am clinging on to in this world. I wont divulge, but they're basically not good things.
2. Pray that I will develop higher patience and tolerance for the things to come, especially as I take this step of faith to become an SM. While you're at it, pray for Cedric too.
I encourage you as you blog to really just post some prayer requests. It's one thing to post your feelings on twitter/facebook or your own personal blogs like most of us do, but I really hope that you all genuinely believe-and remember that prayer really works. So do put your prayer requests here.
God be with you all.
